Welcome to my website!

I am both excited and honored to be a candidate for President-Elect of the Society of Actuaries.

I am a graduate of Yale University and have been practicing as an actuary for over 40 years, originally working for a  Life Insurance company and then, for most of my career, in the Retirement arena.  I have been an active member of the greater actuarial community for many years, having served on a number of committees, been a Vice President of three actuarial organizations, and made over 100 professional presentations.  I've been honored to receive the lifetime achievement awards from both the Society of Actuaries and the Conference of Consulting Actuaries (you can see pictures of the awards ceremony on my pictures tab).

One of my goals is to better communicate with all members of the profession.  I want to know what your concerns are and what direction you would like to see the Society of Actuaries going.  With that said, you can now follow me on the Actuarial Outpost, LinkedIn and Facebook!  I would be delighted to hear from you directly at don@donaldjsegalfsa.com or through one of these sites.
